Meet our team

Karen Theobald – Registered Manager
Karen is proud to lead the team at High Broom, her approach is based on kindness, respect and treating every resident as an individual. She is passionate about building strong relationships with residents and families ensuring everyone feels supported, informed and involved. Karen has been registered manager here at High Broom for 12 years but has worked at High Broom for 23 years giving her a wealth of experience and understanding of High Broom. In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her 6 grandchildren.

Wioleta Urbaniak – Head of Care
Wioleta is our much-valued Head of Care at High Broom. She leads the care team with kindness, calmness and a genuine passion for supporting both residents and staff. Wioleta takes the time to really get to know each resident, ensuring care is personal, respectful and delivered with dignity. Her friendly approach, strong leadership and attention to detail help create the warm, welcoming home High Broom is proud to be.
Wioleta also loves to bake and is an expert at making macarons, which she sometimes shares with the team.

Ali Brooker – Home Administrator
Ali is High Broom’s Home Administrator and the friendly face behind much of the home’s day-to-day organisation. Alongside keeping everything running smoothly with her admin work, Ali is also our social media queen, sharing life at High Broom through lovely updates, photos and stories that help families and the wider community feel connected to our home. Her attention to detail, creativity and cheerful approach make her an invaluable part of the team

Lynn – Chef Manager
Lynn is our Chef Manager at High Broom, bringing care and creativity to every meal she prepares. She takes great pride in providing nutritious, home-cooked food that residents genuinely enjoy. Working closely with the care team, Lynn ensures individual preferences and dietary needs are always catered for, helping mealtimes feel relaxed, social and something to look forward to each day.
Away from the kitchen, Lynn loves all things arts and crafts and is known for her impressive origami skills.

Tina – Head of Housekeeping
Tina is our Head of Housekeeping at High Broom and takes great pride in keeping the home clean, comfortable and welcoming. She leads her team with care and attention to detail, ensuring residents feel safe and at home in their surroundings. Her high standards and commitment help maintain the warm, homely environment that High Broom is known for.
Outside of work, Tina is a devoted cat lover — especially Byron, who is an impressive 21 years old.

Paul – Maintenance manager
Paul looks after the maintenance of High Broom, helping to keep the home safe, comfortable and well cared for. He ensures the day-to-day repairs are carried out in a safe and timely manner and we all know that those little jobs in a home make a big difference. Paul is known for his reliability and attention to details – working hard behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. Outside of work, he is an avid Chelsea fan.

Rosie – Activities Coordinator
Rosie brings energy, warmth and plenty of smiles to High Broom. She takes the time to get to know our residents and plans activities that are meaningful, enjoyable and inclusive for everyone. From gentle group sessions to one-to-one time, Rosie helps create days filled with laughter, connection and a real sense of togetherness.
In her spare time, Rosie loves spending time with her family and driving her big truck.
We are a veteran friendly care home
High Broom is proud to have been assessed and accredited as a veteran friendly care home. The Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) is a collaboration between Armed Forces charities Royal Star & Garter and Royal British Legion and NHS Veterans’ Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA). Being accredited shows that High Broom acknowledges the Armed Forces Covenant, signposts veteran-specific services, commits to the recognition of service life and ensures the wellbeing of veterans in their care.
